I saw that on ebay as well. "Hey, I know - let's price it $1000 higher and put it on ebay!" Huh?

No AC on a North Carolina car. That guy pulled out all the stops. I guess that liquidation guy read in his industry periodical that wagons are the hot thing to find in Estate sales. Condition of car should garner maybe $2,500 with donor car engine included. My favorite line out of the add is car has been sitting, there maybe other engine problems. Ah it needs a new engine. What other problems could there be? Anyway good luck with that one.

I was working as a salesman at a Ford dealer on the west side of L.A. in 1975 when these were new. My old wood shop teacher from junior high school came in and wanted to order a new Gran Torino wagon with a 460. Super tight dealer quoted him the sticker price if he wanted to order it. He walked. Would have been my only sale in 6 weeks of working there. That's right - didn't sell a single vehicle. Learned I wasn't a good salesman.
