Why is it that the majority of the Espirit 'Birds are painted yellow? I think I've seen one blue one, but all the others I can remember are yellow, and I can't stand yellow.

Check Bing images. The Firebird Esprit appears in many colors including burgundy.

Most of the ones I remember seeing were Green. I like the yellow much better, but then again I am Biased,
I just realized that I have seen this car and discussed it before on the Pontiac website I frequent. The owner bought it planning to install a 455 but after finding how stock it was couldn't modify it. It is very odd with the accent strip and full vinyl top. Base 350 2bbl very nice surviver. If my wife liked to drive F-Bodies I probably would have bought it for her. But she likes fast 4-doors. So she will keep the G8 GT.

I'm quite familiar with that 'olive' green, and I'm sure Pontiac had a pallette of colors, of course, but I guess I might've only seen the same car over and over.

My Esprit was that green. Loved the car! A guy offered double what I paid for it back in 1979, so I sold it.

Jim Rockford always drove a gold one.
