I am a derby guy and I just picked up a 1974 Plymouth Custom Satallite Wagon. The problem is that I am a car guy too and the more I look at this car the more I like it. It is a good driver. I don't know if I can ruin this car. I can't find any information on this car. Do you guys know about this car? Is it rare? Thanks

Pretty much all wagons are rare due to them being derbied or parted out. They are a lot of fun to drive and get a lot of attention. I would just drive it if I were you. The other thing is, is they really don't make that good of derby car anyway.

    Welcome!!
Not many of those wagons left, and when was the last time you seen another on the road??
It would be a shame to derby that car. There are a lot of one year only parts on that car.Fenders,bumpers,grille--just to mention a few.

I have a 73 Satellite Custom wagon and it gets more attention than any other car I have owned.

Please don't derby it. Wagons are cool and Mopar wagons are rare. Mopar Collectors Guide has featured two Plymouth wagons in the last couple months.
If you're going to derby something, I would rather see it be some kind of 4 door post sedan. None of those are especialy rare or desirable.

Welcome aboard, Tag. The Clunker program makes all wagons rarer too, but like the mopar gurus already mentioned, you've got a great resto project headstart there.:Welcome:
