"It's not like any other Cutlass. In many ways it's like a European touring sedan" - GM Motors

Feast your eyes on this gorgeous one owner 1973 Cutlass Salon. Once know as a Supreme Colonnade this euro style cruiser is all original and is finished in stunning Mayan Gold paint, sporting a brown vinyl top. It was said that Mayan Gold cars were the least likely to be in accidents due to the high gloss brightness and shine. The paint is all original and damage free. The interior is wrapped in eloquent saddle velour with the look of a plush corduroy pillow. The reclining bucket seats, radial tires, color-keyed wheelcovers, and upgraded suspesion are what gave this car its luxury european styling similar to the Grand Ams of this period. This car was purchased new in Hays, KS in 1973 and it stayed with its original owner until we got a hold of it. It is equipped with all the options you could ask for and then some. With only 69,000 original miles on the RUST FREE body you are guaranteed to catch eyes on the road. The body lines are robust and unlike any other sedan from this era. This car is a rare find and is the nicest sedan we have seen in years. From the preserved exterior and engine and inward to the mint interior this car exemplifies pride in ownership. The car was personally ordered by the owner with all the highest options including:

    -Factory AC
    -Power Disc Brakes (front)
    -Cruise Control
    -Tilt steering wheel
    -6 way power seat
    -Power door locks
    -Power windows
    -Remote Mirrors
    -Factory tinted glass
    -Body side protective mouldings
    -Vinyl roof
    -3spd Turbo Hydra Matic Transmission

The exterior is straight and damage free. There are a few small blemishes in the form of small scratches and road chips from the 40+ years of life but there is no rust and there shows no signs of major repair. In fact our digital paint gauge tells us that this Cutlass only had a small section of the left rear 1/4 panel repaired at some point in time. The lights, chrome, trim, and mouldings are all in A+ condition. The top is flawless and shows no signs of rusting or corrosion beneath the vinyl. This car was clearly garage kept and safe from road salt and water. The doors close crisp and straight, free of any sag. The body lines are consistent and tight throughout the entire car. We can be most certain that this car has never been in an accident.

Under the hood sits a world class 350 CID Rocket V8 in its original form. This car was regularly serviced and one glance under the hood is all the proof you will need. It idles as smooth and quiet as any car today. The RPM's rise and fall just as clean as you could hope for and the exhaust is clear and smoke free. She rides down the road nice and straight and free of any rattles or signs of excessive wear. Braking is straight and smooth on the pedal. You can feel the difference with the front disc brakes under heavy braking and it's all the confidence you need to drive this anywhere. Shifting is smooth and crisp and the Turbo Hydra Matic kicks down into first gear and pulls like a mule when you spur the loud pedal.

When you open any of the 4 doors you cant help but appreciate the luxurious look of the velour seats. The power buckets in the front are as enticing as the factory AC and Cruise Control. The owner never smoked in it and we do not detect any odors. The seats are perfect front and back, the carpets look like new, and the trim is nearly flawless. The interior of this car is what you will appreciate the most.

For some reason, the interior speaks to me.

The reclining bucket seats, radial tires, color-keyed wheelcovers, and upgraded suspesion are what gave this car its luxury european styling similar to the Grand Ams of this period.
The wheel covers are not color keyed, or original, I think. Looks like the wires from the '77-'87 Cutlass.

The body lines are robust and unlike any other sedan from this era.
...except the Chevy, Buick and Pontiac of the same era.

Nice car, but what a pile of car-dealer BS!

Seeing as how the seller saw fit to post only that one pic, and concentrate on all that eloquent prose, I hereby submit a pic of what the interior is supposed to look like, per a '73 Olds brochure page:

We had a '76 Cutlass Salon coupe when I was a teenager. Great car. The buckets were very comfortable and it handled very well for a big car. Blue and white exterior like this except the interior was also blue.
