    Tom from Brisbane Australia here. I joined this site awhile ago but I've been busy going through 1000+ pages of 'wagons in vintage street scenes' - great thread and site!

    I've owned various American and Aussie classics throughout the years but this is my first wagon. So here's the story;

    The wagon is from new mexico originally. Air force pilot bought it new then exported it to Australia in 74 where he was doing an exchange. He drove it LHD for 2 years then sold it before he went back to the states. It was then converted to RHD. You'll notice the aussie spec amber indicators on the rear. Kinda ugly but been there so long ill be leaving as is. Its been babied mechanically, has great interior but the paint work is a bit tired in places.

    I'm a kustom/lowrider guy apart from my interest in muscle cars. so it will get some sedate changes. I'm going for something like Olds might've done as a custom car/lowrider promotion back in the 70s. lowered, cragars and some roof patterns....

    My partner enjoys driving it with me and the 2 young kids so it still has to stay very functional.

    took her to a car wash to raise funeral money for a young woman who'd just died of cancer.

    maybe smashed by a drunk walking past, stone flung up by passing car or shattered due to hot and cold changes over night. looks like an impact at the rear though. possibly two (one closer to the front where it spiderwebs out from centre). Either way I gotta get some glass. Moran glass in my city does a lot of old stuff and can do a mould from existing. maybe a mirror mould from right side? is this glass re produced in the states? :confused:

    glass cleaned out. took 2.5 hours :(
