Just have to keep waiting him out. Price guides put the value in the $3,000 to $4,000 range.

Incredible that this now 40 year old Torino is still with the first owner! :D

It's a '73 not a '74-76, but I would outbid you guys if I had the cash. A wagon in this shape, one owner, that clean and original, is worth the $6000 to me.

That picture with the doors open is funny. That rear door must be three feet thick.

But remember 1976 isn't smog exempt in Cali. People from Cali LURVE 72-75 model cars...and the very few early build '76 models that have '75 on the door sticker for the build date that are also exempt....so I hear. I don't have that luxury with my sedan, it's one of the last Torinos ever built, July 1976, sequence 166140 at Atlanta (193K Torinos built in 1976 all models)

Why 1976? 1975 was the first model year for catalytic converters and required unleaded gas, wasn't it?

I have always loved the look of these wagons. The proportions are spot on, even with the heavier bumpers. Nice use of trim to accent the lines, too. All in all, for a low-optioned car, this one is a great example. Whether it is worth $6,000, only the market will tell. I suspect that being original, and one owner, will put it above the price guides but by how much? Time will tell.

Where did he find those cool full width vintage type front and rear floor mats?
The blue Chevy cramshell for sale has a mat like that too?

Very nice car. My dad had a 1969 428CJ fastback with 4spd that I always liked but was always worried about the uni-body construction when it comes to getting an old one later. In researching the Torino's however I just discovered that Ford did a very unusual thing in that they went back to body on frame in 1972. Cool says I. Makes the mid 70s models very tempting to me as I have always liked the interior/dash treatment in these.

Because California is retarded? I don't know. That's just the year they picked.

Is it me, or do the passenger side doors look a little darker than the back half of the wagon?

The tailgate almost looks like it's darker too.

I'd like to know that too. My wagon has a full width dark blue mat in the front. It was in the car when I bought it. Would love to find a matching set.
