I actually like this one, but I don't know how well it will do with its non numbers matching engine/transmission, and the black painted roof as opposed to the original Vinyl roof (though I would like it better if it wasn't so shiny)

Somewhat rare to see a Monte Carlo of that era with bucket seats, center console and floor shifter, not to mention a full gauge package with Tack & Clock.

About the only changes I would make is swap out the Holley for a Q-Jet, tone down the gloss of the black roof paint, swap the steering wheel with a period correct Chevy sport wheel, and maybe remove the headers, I would have to live with it awhile to see how the exhaust system sounds.

Nice car overall, what do you all think?

Bid to $14K with 4+ hours to go when I posted it

I guess at that price you could replace the vinyl roof if you wanted. I don’t object to the painted top either, but might redo the top to get it back to more original, but I don’t live in a part of the country I have to worry about moisture sneaking under it.

Man, that shroud. It's like the other one, I think it looks longer than what it should be.

Again that is how long they all are with a SBC in a 70-72 Monte Carlo. But I know what you mean.
