Stand corrected... it is a 1973 not 1972. From: Chucho Yep!, you are right it is a 1973. Had to pull my title papers out and refresh my memory. On that plastic panel that has the two air conditioning vents on it that is just above the glove-box cover it says: Galaxie 500. The guy I got the car from said it is also called a Country Sedan. So, is my car a 1973 Country Sedan/Galaxie 500, or is it, 1973 Galaxie 500 station wagon? Also, any idea of what its used car sale value is? The body is in great shape as it has no dents, never been in an accident. The only little bit of rust is along side the very back door where the water runs down over the taillights. The motor is also in pretty good shape. This car is my daily driver car. It has factory air on it, but the compressor stopped working so it was taken off with the other air conditioning parts. I'm sure it can easily be reinstalled if someone wanted to do so. The interior of the car is mostly OK. All the door panels are intact and original. The dash area is OK, but the top of the dash is somewhat cracked, the front seat needs to be redone, and it also needs a new headliner as some of the seams are coming apart in 3-4 spots. All in all this car is in great shape and dependable. I would not hesitate to drive this car from California to lets say the State of Washington.
Your wagon would officially be called a 'Country Sedan', but it has the name 'Galaxie 500' on the dash emblem because that's the trim level of the car. The Country Squire would probably have an emblem that said 'LTD'
