Recently got a 1971 Torino wagon. It has a 302 with a 2 barrel carb. Guy who we bought it from bored it .30 over and put a mild cam. I was wondering what it's prob pushing around as far as Hp. And wanted to know how much more hp will we get out of putting a new intake manifold, 4 barrel, headers and exhaust. Also when we got the car it has a spot light like police officers on their car , Was wondering why it would be there

Because it was once a police car? Because a prior owner put it there?

Let's see some photos of this beast!

When I bought my 1948 Chevy panel truck I saw welded up holes inside at the front and back. Faint writing on the sides showed it was used in Alabama for a voluntier emergency vehicle.
Then again the wagon could have been used by a pervert checking out kids on lovers lane.:shhh:

Your engine (stock) was rated in 1971 horsepowers, as 210. There was no 4-barrel carb 302 for the '71 Torino. The next step up was a 4-barrel 351, which was rated at 285 horsepowers. Giving a guess, I would say a slightly bored-out 302, with a mild cam and 4-barrel, might be good for 260-270 in 1971 horsepowers.

Here the engine spec sheet for the '71 Torinos - last page of the brochure:
