Yeah Is he adding the name Town Car. Not sure when that was an option. I’m thinking ‘72, it was a trim option, Those Town Cars has the wood across the top of the doors if memory serves me. Could be a TC though. Who knows.

This is some car. I would love to have it. I dig these 70s Lincolns.

Hey Bill. My friends here in town have that exact car in a ‘70. It belonged to his father. 42,000 miles.

Oh man - '70 is the best year with that one-year only front end. It killed me about two years ago, there was a '70 in our local u-pull with looked like 81K original on it. What was interesting it was a cloth pinstriped interior (was original) and it seemed straight and solid before it came into the yard.

I wouldn't rule out and Connie from 70-74 - but if I had to choose - 70 would be it.

Does it have the Town Car interior upgrade?

Yeah I saw the green car had that on the front fender. Maybe the seats were different materials. The door panels were the same, and changed in ‘72, as did the seats. Thanks for the explanation. That gold one is very nice.

No it’s the pantyhose interior. Standard Continental. But it has some nice options including intermittent wipers. It’s sad, they don’t really like that car too much, other than it was a family car. Apparently it was one of the first ‘70’s made. August of ‘69. They have a ‘76 Mark with 20,000 miles on it they like a lot more.

If you note in the HMN story on the really nice gold one, the L-M dealer service dept. eventually told the owner they did not want to work on it any longer but would help to scrap it. Nice. And car dealers wonder why they have negative reputations.

Yeah. Don’t you know some pinky ring wearing a-hole salessnake was waiting with a new ‘80 Town Car to bounce him into. They probably told anybody with a 10-12 year old car the same story.
