Beautiful car. Not particularly loaded. Think he’s a bit ambitious on his price, but maybe. It’s in great condition

Oh yeah, it's a California blue plate from the right numbers era so it's likely never seen any real weather. Great shape car, albeit not heavily loaded. That the AC works and blows cold is very important for getting that price, because it shows that it's been maintained and taken care of. The matching color luggage in the back makes me laugh, we had a set like that growing up.

Ambitious on the price, but as was said he could get it as the car really does seem to be in that great of shape.

Very nice. A/C is only option that is a must have in NC (for me). Doers seem high priced, but some crazy prices lately.

It's not particularly loaded by the standards of 2020. By the standards of 1971, it is very typically optioned. These were family haulers bought by Dad for Mom and the kids. As long as it had A/C, power steering, power brakes, and a luggage rack and an AM radio for the family trips, that's all that Mom and Dad cared about. Tilt wheel? Power windows or door locks? Cruise control? These were the stuff of Chryslers and Oldsmobiles and Cadillacs. They were not common in family cars, and no one missed them.

Agreed that the Fords and Chevy’s were more commonly spartan as far as options. The Buick’s and Oldsmobile’s were top line cars. You could get a pretty low line Colony Park as well, but I think if you wanted a FoMoCo tricked out wagon you opted for the Mercury. You occasionally run across a Squire with Brougham interior power goodies, and the very rare rear window washer. Vinyl tops were not too common either. I think the loaded wagons were probably typically bought by perhaps older folks that liked all the trinkets. I guess if you bought a ‘71 optioned like this green one, and you had kids you obviously lived through late ‘40’s and ‘50’s cars, so a peppy wagon with good AC and a good radio were probably pretty welcome family transportation.

Well if he finds that one sucker born on that minute who throws out a $19,999 offer out there and he snaps it up maybe they’ll both be happy. This is yet another example of when you don’t get any bites. Throw it out there higher. What a dumb move.
