I picked up a fairly clean 1971 Buick Estate Wagon that had been in indoor storage for the last 20 years. It supposedly had been prepped for storage but I had to go through everything. Rebuilt the 455, new complete brakes, lines and all, new cooling system. It's now roadworthy and I am starting to address the cosmetic issues. It''s a non-woody 2 seat wagon, pw, pdl, p seat, a/c, roof rack, power rear window and gate, tilt, medium blue. It will be a tow vehicle for my other toys, mostly 70's-80's GM intermediates. It has a class III hitch and tow wiring, not factory but added at the dealer when new. I've been lurking on this site since January and decided to sign up.

I'll get pics up soon, would do it now but it's been raining for the last two days. I try not to get her wet, haven't done the door seals yet and I need to figure something out for the rear gate seals.

Run a Search on our site for Clamshell weatherstrips. Lots of guys have had that issue and solutions, with links to potential suppliers.

Welcome aboard.... always good to see another clamshell saved. And a 71, not too many around. In some sort of way later years are "all over the place' compared to 71.
I was looking for a 71 Estate Wagon for years (love the louvres) never found one in descent condition. Instead I finally bought a 72 Estate Wagon and later a 71 Electra for the louvres :D
