So this is a new spot I found. It’s under the washer reservoir. That is where I hid my electric fan controller. The only issue I will run into is the battery cables from the module to the battery are going to be like 6 inches too short. I’ll have to put in an extension for it though.
Decided to go with firewall mount because I don’t have a spark plug wire long enough to go from coil to distributor if I hid it near ignition module. Time to start on plug wires.
I decided to swap the coil around because the OEM wire that goes to the coil was too short. And will be easier to service/troubleshoot. Got threaded inserts for the ignition module also and got that mounted where I wanted it. Need to make a run to get some 8 or 10 gauge wire in the morning to extend the power and ground cable for the ignition module, tie one wire into key switch, possibly extend the coil wires, tie up the unused wires, build remaining plug wires, put battery in, and adjust timing.
Finished the wiring for the ignition module, coil, and distributor. Tied up all the wiring along with the factory wiring. Tested and the light on the module comes on. Finished building the spark plug wires. Will start it and set timing tomorrow. Then take it for a spin to see how the shocks feel.
Got timing set and took her for a cruise. Runs great. I can’t get a video to upload. Shocks feel good. Only complaint about them is the threads weren’t cleaned up from the manufacturer so I had to run a tap on the front shocks.
