Thats actually a reasonable asking price on a well optioned and good looking Caprice. I am shocked!

What is the difference, stylewise, between a Caprice and an Impala? This is a hardtop, just like my aunt's, but I'd swear hers was an Impala, not a Caprice.

Stuff like more or nicer chrome in the Caprice I believe. Going off of what other divisions did, I would suggest that the wood grain on the dash, door panels\pulls, and poofy seats are all part of the Caprice that weren't part of the Impala.

Her car was probably an Impala Custom, which shared the same roof style as the Caprice.

It does. That's why I liked Aunt Karen's Impala, and why I was so bummed she didn't sell it to me for the $500 she eventually sold it for.

And to think, three different GMs that could've been my first car:

    Grandpa Fred's '66 Delta 88 (sideswiped)
Aunt Karen's '70 Impala (new jobs fell through)
Petty Officer Hoppe's '67 Impala Sport (sold it out from under me)
