Hello, I have always loved station wagons. In high school I drove my fathers 1969 Ford country squire with 429, A/C, light yellow with black interior. Rear facing seats. Later on I had acquired his 1976 Caprice Estate wagon clam shell. Very nice beige with plaid interior, three rows of seats. I sold that an pretty sure that it ended up in a derby. I wish that never happened. Several other wagons. 1973 Torino wagon, 1986 Taurus wagon, 1992 Caprice wagon, 2004 Volvo wagon. From there moved into GM Suburban's 1999, 2009, 2016. Last year I purchased a 1969 Country Squire, Blue with 390, A/C but only 6 passenger. I will be restoring this car and adding a fresh 460 stroked to +500 CID to pull the weight. I want to have finished in 2 years.
aboard. Try not to think about the one that ended up in a derby...it happens. But look what you are going to save, it looks great.
Pretty ‘69. I loved that aqua color. Good luck with your restoration. Keep us posted with lots of photos!
