Hello all, just recently bought this car it is a 1968 Mercury Colony Park,390 ci,auto, black interior, cruise control,8-track and fold down seats in the rear, have been getting it back to roadworthy status, planning on using it to haul a nostalgia type altered roadster I am building, have had a couple wagons before but this is my first Ford product.

I liked that he had the same car for a couple of years, rather than getting a new one every season like most tv shows did back then.

He drove that Park Lane from '68 until '73. The episode where it blows up, McGarrett almost tears up.

FoMoCo provided cars for that show, and they wanted to move him into a new Mercury for years, but Jack Lord loved that '68.

OK, pete, I'm done with the hijack. :rofl2:

    Hi, Silverfox.

What do you mean that Jack liked himself better than you did? I never met him, but I've come across comments from people who did - at the grocery store or mall - and they say he was very nice. To this day, people in Hawaii only have kind words to say about him.
