It ended up going for just over 46 grand. Just yesterday, it was going for just over half of that, even eqipped with that 283 Powerglide which is supposed to move it, heavy as that otherwise lovely 4-door hardtop is.
Auctions are dependably good places to make good money, because you'll always have somebody showing up with a bunch of cash who doesen't know what he's doing

Me too Mark, but for some reason with the “super natural” series these ‘67’s are just going for stupid money, especially black ones with wrong wheels.

Both guys tried winning a war between themselves and both of them ended up losing it, judging from how much fiat money changed hands. Not that this is much money anymore. I could see forking out generous money, if that Impala had the highest horsepowered 427 hooked up to a variable-vane-convertered THD, proper-colored seats, otherwise unmolested and with a non-sagging headliner

If it were mine, I'd ditch the black front bench seats and source some 'SS' buckets and floor console. I'd also ditch the little 2-barrel 283 for something a little more.........'more'. And those wheels are gone, too.....

I've said in the past that the third of my 'first' cars was a '67 2-door Sportroof; and yes, Marshall, it had the buckets, console, and 327/PG. $300, and it was gone before I could arrive to buy it.

The door panel pattern looks sportier, at the expense of the castrated for '68 instrument panel
