    That color looked OK on '65 Impalas, but it's not good here.

    GTO's are supposed to be lipstick red.

    Notice it's got a GTO / LeMans grill, and the GTO hood, but i don't see any 'GTO' emblems - which is what I would probably do to it if it were mine. Wagon is actually a 'Tempest Custom'. There wasn't even a 'LeMans Safari' in '65 (but there was in '66)

    Good colors for this '65 would be yellow (B-I-L had a yellow '65 GTO...), dark charcoal, black, white, and turquoise. Check this '65 wagon brochure page:

    I bet there are more fake '65 GTO wagons than regular '65 Tempest wagons around. The color, Iris Mist?, looks good on '65 convertibles with parchment interior, black top.
    Otherwise I agree, GTO's should be lipstick red...from the factory.....like mine.:rofl2:
