Hey all, this looks like a good place for info and parts for my new project wagon. Wiring is a nightmare and of course rust to deal with.( I'm NOT a bodyman) Will post pics later after I figure out how. Looking for sparetire cover and roof rails. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Tom

Hey, no, it has a 289 with a C4 behind it. A good starting point.

    64 Comet 404 Wagon

Found the wagon in a car wholesaler's lot. Paid wwwwway tooo much for it. Long story. couple of dealers played me like a drum. Like I said--long story. But drove it home. Only obvious problems were no brake lights and rusty tailgate. You would think if you had turn signals then brake lights would be a matter of a switch--wrong. Melted wiring harness and someone circumventing the fuse panel to make the lights blink. Still working on that with help of wiring diagram, new wire and test light. pics to come of comet and finished 63 Galaxie conv.

Looking forward to seeing the photos. The 63 Galaxie is is my favorite of all the full size Fords, and convertibles look great on that body style. Looking forward to seeing the Comet too. I could be wrong as I'm not a Ford guy, but I'm guessing the wagon specific parts you're looking for are the same as those found on any 64-65 Falcon wagons. I would guess that even the tailgate would be the same as any 64-65 Falcon wagon. The spare tire cover and drip rails may even be shared by all 60-65 Comet and Falcon wagons. I know a guy with a 62 Falcon Sedan delivery who also has to deal with replacing rusted out drip rails, and parts of the adjacent roof.

:Welcome:, also looking foreward to seeing pics....you did'nt metion but a your 289, is it factory? I'm guessing it must be as nobody dos that engine swap in....20+ years anymore, rarer mill for that era of car as more were the inline 6.

:Welcome: Aboard jandt69. Correct me if I'm wrong but Tedy, When I ordered new and bought my 64 1/2 Stang the 260 and 289 were options as well as the 6 in ah row. In '65 the 260 waz gone leaving only the 6 and 289:tiphat:

I know they were optional back then and the 260 was gone in 65. Just rare IMO that "A" it's a factory V8 and "B", it's still the origonal. I remember 9 out of 10 of those cars being the inline 6.

    404 Comet wagon

Hello, still trying to upload pics of my 64 404 wagon. It seems the only shots I have presently are WAY too big to be uploaded. I did upload a few pics of my 63 conv. I'm not sure I did it right. Have to take some lower res pics of the wagon
