I don't think this has been posted here, but it is a fleet of old Chevys... some as low as 2 miles!

around 3:50, you will see a '64 Bel-Air wagon with 326 ACTUAL miles! Still has the factory window sticker in the window! There are tons of photos on there... many cars only have 1 to 5 miles! Sadly, some had set out in the weather for years and need TLC! Some however were kept inside and look really nice!

Sadly, the years of sun haven't been nice on the interior...

Preserving one with very low miles is one thing, but just letting them sit to rot is worse than the normal wear and tear they would get if used regularly. I don't think I would be interested in any of these.

Goes to show no matter how low the miles are, the interior and everything else can take a bad hit when a car just sets... especially out in the weather.

I just don't understand why this dealer allowed all these cars to just hang around for yrs and yrs? What kind of business sense is that?

At least the '64 wagon appears to have been one of the cars that was stored indoors, it should be OK and a fine one to restore or drive as-is once you get it going good mechanically.

Motomike... on one of those links it mentions something about the dealer wanted people to buy "newer" models, so he often put the older ones away.

One of the cars was a 80s Corvette with 14 miles... one was a Vega with like 3 miles... the interior took a terrific beating!

Those poor machines. They never got to feel the wind embrace them as they explored roads untraveled and routes of familiarity. Family gatherings to wash them. A parent teaching their child maintenance and care. Sad... just sad.

Holy cow. Some are destroyed, but others look like a good paint job and detailing along with replacement of gaskets and seals would be really "as good as new". Wow! Why can't I stumble on to something like that!

    This was posted before.

In the 70's I did some roof work at a 1920's era car dealer building that was turned into a rustproofing place and they had five brand new zero to ten mile 1930's Oldsmobiles in the former second floor window display showroom. It was all boarded up and the owner bought them with the building and wouldn't even talk about them. They could still be there for all I know, but the building's in a neighborhood you don't venture into if you want to come out alive now.:(

That '64 brings back memories of my own '64, even the same color. Mine was far worse in the mid seventies and certainly soup cans by now.
This and other collections like it make me sad and angry at the same time. These cars weren't preserved but left to rot, albeit slowly.
What possible benefit did the owner enjoy? I know some collect just to "own", which baffles me but these weren't even appreciated enough to properly store.
Some will be great finds for a restorer, others are now junk and will probably be parted out or worse without ever having served as a car.
The mentality behind this type of car "enthusuaist" is a mystery to me. Perhaps he's a senile(or dead) geezer now but certainly not when the collection started.
It's comforting to know some will finally find good homes.

I have an affinity for the 1959 model Chevrolets, it was sickening to see that someone had snitched some of the trim off the faces, even sicker to see brand new cars of all descriptions left to that fate. I hope whatever doesn't see restoration gets disassembled and parted out. There is a man who fully restored a '59 Impala four door sedan to factory specs. It's a six cylinder with three on the column and little else besides wheel covers and wide whitewalls. I hope he gets one of the "new" ones.

I seriously doubt there will be any bargains at this auction. I'm sure every collector with deep pockets will be there to fulfill his fantasy.
