That's the same engine the Brits use in their Jags and Rovers. If I'm not mistaken, Aston Martins use a version of it also. All good selections. Power steering is overkill, though. It's probably part of the steering rack and might not steer right, without it?

The EPAS came with the IFS cradle. It's self-contained in the rack, so no hoses or any pumps. It is interfering with my starter though. Hard to tell until the IFS and engine are in the car. This is the build I got this car to NOT do. I keep doing these wild cars and stress myself out with a 5000pc puzzle of components. The plan was to just toss a carbed V8 in, but most everything turned out to be trashed and more expensive than I ever dreamed. I should have gotten a GM, but it sure is cool.

Anyone can take the easy way out, dropping in carbureted 8s. The puzzle sounds cool. So, maybe you need a different rack or could try gutting out the one you have, to make way for the starter. Sounds challenging and worth a try
