I actually found this old ad on another forum by accident. They said that the interior was fair, needs some body work, and that the engine floods occasionally. :rofl2: :slap:
Sad to see it go. I wonder if it sold, though?

I would love to know the story behind this long roof; oh wait, it's not really a long roof anymore since there is none!

    I'm guessing it's a '64 Pontiac.

They always seem to rust out around the rear wheel wells and the drip rails first.

I agree........that's what happens when you choose "budget" parking option by the way.

Car looks like a 65 Catalina .. possibly an Ambulance or a Hearse... might have been a limousine but im starting to think not. The cargo area isnt big enough to be a wagon. Wonder how the sam hell this happened to this car and whats the deal with it.

The earth is slowly taking it back.

ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Everything eventually returns to the earth from which it was created.

I want to know how the rear interior stayed so mint??!!

If that's an indicator of condition before meeting the ocean my guess would be it was stolen back in the day and dumped in the water. Would LOVE to poke around that wreck :)

Thanks for that info, NY. I thought I recognized the big rock in the background. Based on the picture and supporting information, that would place this wreck at approximately the northern edge of the sand dunes which are immediately south of the town of Morro Bay, CA. If you look at the picture of the back of the wagon, with the big rock in the distance, you are looking north. The small town of Morro Bay sits immediately to the east of the big rock (to the right in the picture...) So the wreck is just south of the town.

In his comments he said GPS was enabled on his photos so if you knew how you could pull out the coordinates and find the exact spot via your GPS but he says its long since reburied

    That'll buff right out.
And if any pieces are missing, Norman can make them out of soap, sawdust, and drywall mud.
