I would not have guessed it had a Buick 215 V8 installed in it! Nice

Lovely. My taste runs towards unaltered but that 215 Buick seems like a perfect upgrade. Would not overpower the 4 drum brakes.

I'd be wondering about the gearing with the 3-speed. How is it on the highway? Never going to be a speed demon, but will it cruise at a comfortable RPM at say 60 mph?

Beautiful vehicle! Anyone need 'eyes on'? I'm within easy driving distance.....

That's a good question, as it brings up how it would've handled on the then-new Interstate and upgraded U.S. highways, as the speed limits came up in many states. I figure, 50-55 would be its top-out with the V6, and the steering/suspension would be just about at their limits. You'd have to drive this one to see what it would do surpassing 55 MPH. And do so carefully.
The top RPM would depend on axle gearing, of course; I just wonder why someone would drop in a V8 but not also an OD transmission?
