That looks SWEET! I was about to pull the trigger on a 53 Packard wagon when I was searching for my first longroof but..... then I broke my leg.....Longroofs Rule!
Talk about built in seating at the local car show. That back bumper shelf looks like it holds 3 across. Very nice car! Packard must have been gearing up for the 5mph federal bumpers. Lol
Was looking at a '57 Packard brochure (link below). These were really well-equipped from the factory. A supercharger on the Studebaker V8 was STANDARD. '57Pack, can you post up some interior pics? I'd love to see the inside. And, WELCOME TO THE FORUM! http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/United States/Packard/1957 Packard/index.html
@57pack Your wagon would definitely grab my attention at a car show. Not many of these left. Kudos for restoring one. What made you want to restore a Packard? At least, I'm assuming you restored it? Did your family have one? Did you always have an affinity for them? Or did you just want something different? Regardless, it's a beautiful car and criminally underappreciated. If I had an airplane hanger collection of cars I'd have a 1956 Packard 400 or Patrician as a part of the stable. Sadly, I don't believe the '56 400/Patrician came in a wagon version, but I may be wrong about that.
