Bought in 1977 and taken to Disney World later that year. Transmission lost all forward gears in 1980 on the mail route, and it was parked. One of my relatives thought he could take apart the engine and pull it out to get the transmission out. He never finished, and the engine is still stripped down to the block. No heads, pistons, fan or fan shroud, intake, or carb (Still have those parts though). Had 12,738 miles on February 23,1978 and 35,402 miles on February 10, 1979. The previous owner/original owner is dead. Originally came with a Holley 2bbl carb and it has the factory exhaust system (lasted for 72 and early 73). The Visibility Group included an under hood light, "lights on" buzzer, glove box light, ash tray light, light switch light, rear cargo light for wagons, and a single remote mirror. Has the less common manual tailgate window, and pleated vinyl seats. The wagon has a Signal Corps decal on it because it was often driven to Fort Gordon. The Gran Torino has Fort Gordon stickers on the bumpers.
