Those are some great looking designs, but the thing I like best about them is that they are hardtop wagons...no ugly posts and frames.

    Love that! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Too bad they didn't do that with Fox wagons. I've got an old sweater from the perry como days that still fits me, and is in mint condition and my favourite. My Fairmont is the same way. I just don't see a better fit, for me.

I go to the junkyards and see some of the newer ones, with great ideas and then figure I can do that to mine.

I saw a 1985 LTD fox sedan with an extra deflecting door seal at the bottom edge, to cut the dust and water spray into the sill. Piece of cake. Technical stuff that preserves the car. I love the beast. Handles like a sports car, and rides and steers nice. I'm addicted to her. A turbo, and water injection. Those are my next upgrades.

My only idea of a redesign would be to make her into a Phaeton (convertible top), but doors wood be a problem. And she'd need a real frame underneath. I was cutting the ebrake section out of the floor tunnel out of a 1981 Capri T-top this morning. The A-pillars are so stressd out that they rotted out at the top of the A-pillars!

On a wagon site? On our wagon site! Are you kidding? We have other more subtle ways of describing 'THAT'!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

Take woodgrain for instance. MacTac, Faux Wood, vinyl crap, that decal stuff, PITA job, etc. but we would never confuse the two. Very distinct structures. :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Have you seen the Austin Powers Movies, Fannie. My wife loves them. She puts on the Spanish subtitles and LHAO! Anyway, there are so many ways to ... :biglaugh::rofl2::rofl2:

I'm sure your whole family will sleep better, knowing that if a thunder-storm breaks-out while they're sittin' in the "privvy", they can always just put the top back up.. :D..
