The power tailgate window on my 1967 Vista cruiser is not working. The window is currently open.
I removed the access panels on the inside of the tailgate, but the glass blocks my access to the gears and motor.
Does anyone have an idea as to how to manually raise the window?
    Thanks
    Kevin

Check the switch on the passenger side tailgate jamb.If that switch is not working ,you wont get a ground to the motor that operates the window. My switch worked part-time so I added a ground wire inside the tailgate and left the switch in place. Hope this helps.

If you want to raise or lower window without the power motor you have to remove the 2 tracks that are bolted on the bottom of the window that the rollers/arms from the window regulator. If I remember right they are 7/16 hex. Once you have these removed then the window will slide up and down in the tracks/channels. You might need topull the arms towards the front of the car when the window is up. Sometimes the rollers/arms get in the way of the window frame.
