Hi! As the girlfriend to LowLow it was just a matter of time before he made me start an account here. Don't know much about cars, but I trie my best to learn. Love the sound of a v8, and thats good start, right? Im hanging around Lowlow in our garage, often more in the way then helpfull, but its god for my learning, so he is kind and patient enough to accept it. we live in the north of Sweden with our compeding dogs, a lot of time spends on training with them. The rest of the time spends in the garage, how do normal people find time to sleep and work?? Sorry, for my bad english, teach me or accept it!
Welcome to the forum, Mrs Lowlow. Glad to have you aboard. We have a few ladies that are regulars and I'm sure they'll be welcoming you as well. Have fun and enjoy!!
:banana:Yezz!! Hello Darling! My li´ll miss, s have just spent a full evening in the shop to get the new motor hi gloss, jet black and shining on the estate.. Also we have picked up a new motor for the tailgate today, and hopefully we´ll get it running this weekend!
to the wagon train, Mrs2low. We know what's going on....if you didn't spend time in the garage you would never SEE 2low!
Hmpf.... Could be close to the truth! ;-) Actually Im at the speedshop just this moment wondering what normal couples do a friday evening. (Yes, it's evening in Sweden) Romantic dinners? Candle lights? Our romantic evening means that we at this very moment gonna put a chevy van in to pieces... Hacksaw-time!!
OK.....I'm afraid to ask on what part of that cool 72 Buick Estate 2low is going to use a hacksaw!? And what did he mean by GT heads on that 455? I used to build up 455's and put them in 80's box wagons. Specifically, Buick Electras. I love the 455, but, he's right. It's not the best for gas mileage. But, who cares? When you have a wagon like that and it goes...what more could you want? I like that he is putting in a 700R4 tranny too. Might want to beef that up a bit.
It's on the chevy van we are using the hacksaw. That kind of tool is never used around the baby electra! I loved the 455 to, kicked som volvo-kids asses with that engine in the Buick, but I've never told Jim about it. ;-)
Jim, I presume, is 2low? Well....you may get caught Mrs2low....he may read your posts. But, then....kicking kids and their Volvo's in the ass is a GOOD thing!
Thats a mistake... The heads were Stage 2. Dont know if he told you different, but they are STAGE heads. That 455 is history now, it´s been replaced with a 350 TBI mill with a Th 700 gear behind.. Not the same torque, but better mileage.
Welcome Mrs. LowLow, Sounds like Friday evening in Sweden are very much the same as Friday evenings in Canada. But then I encouraged him soooo, some of it is my fault . The only time we see candle dinners is when the power has gone off. But I guess...I wouldn't have any other way...would you? Welcome to the group
I sold it, and took all the money. But when I stumble over another one in the garage I will text you!
