    Hi:
I picked up a 83 Custom Cruiser Woody recently.

The Car was owned by a 90 year old lady that had it for 26 years and is complete!!

It has the third row seat in it that I am going to transfer into my 87 Custom Cruiser that just has the storage compartment.

Has anyone ever done this swap - if so can you share some words of wisdom..

    Let me know

    Mike

I have not personally done the swap, but if you look at the Fisher Body Manual, the third seat comes as a "module" that apparently just bolts in place of the storage well covers. Looks to be a complete bolt-in operation. If you don't have the Chassis Service Manual and Fisher Body Manual for your car, I suggest that you get them.

Thanks for the reply - quick qestion

I do not have the body manual - can you provide me the details on what I should look for when getting one - I will than check ebay for it.

Does it look like I can just pull the seat and the latch/release mechanism or do I need to take the whole back plate piece out (the peice that ends up being the floor when the middle second row seat seat is folded down)

    Thanks for the help

    Mike

You must have bought that one over in Port Washington. I looked hard at that car. You got a good deal if that was the car.

I don't think you need to get a service/body manual for just this, but none the less they are a good thing to have.:yup:

It should be just as Joe says, unbolt it and put it in the other wagon. Put the 2 wagons side by side and take a close look, unbolt and install from one and visa versa to the other.

:Welcome: to the nut house by the way:pub:
