I sure like the way those seats are upholstered.
I have a couple of buckets that need to be done, been looking for ideas, but these really caught my eye.

I was hot to buy one of these for awhile but the ones I would find were rusty. Bad rust. I think these are cool cars and they go pretty good with that OD tranny. Like any old car it has its weak points and if you find one that is in really good shape they are expensive...like this one. When looking at one of these to buy...bring a magnet. I think the style of these is way cool.

I was on a few Mustang sites offering leather seats for classic mustangs. That colour was available too.

Yes, but remember a magnet will stick to bondo that covers rust...pending how thick it is.

These are beautiful cars, there are a couple out here but even out here they don't stand up to rust like a Noth American car, they are notorious for rust.

Guess it was my fault....posted in wrong place.....:slap: I had probably seen the section for CL and such, but rarely look or post anywhere other than the first few topics. Didn't mean to instigate a controversy. I'll try to do better next time.

They were made in Sweden, where it's winter 9 months of the year and 3 of months of bad ski weather.
Rust sees no boundaries, and will attack any car that is not properly cleaned and maintained. It has more to do with the owner than the car.

True that rust will get into any vehicle. No doubt about that. However, some were "rust-proofed" a lot better than others. Take the old Mopar A, B & E bodies of the 60s and 70s. They were very prone to rust. In contrast, most foreign made vehicles have a lot more sealer to keep moisture out of the nooks and crannies, especially underneath. I worked at a Volkswagen store years ago. I cleaned and prepped many new arrivals. The difference in quality and sealing from the elements is unreal. If anybody remembers the Ford Fiesta from the early 80s, they were made in Germany and sealed extremely well.
