Well, we did lots of work and it feels like we did nothing..hehe! It took us three hours just to get her in the garage. She ran until the day we really
    needed her to run!:chirp:

One of the cool things though, is that we FINALLY got the back door open..and found out it opens vertically AND horizontally!! Woohooooo!! :yippee::29:

Persistance overcomes resistance, they say. I'm sure this is the first of many cool surprises and good times your Concours has in store for you.

that tailgate is what Ford deemed...'the magic gate'....cuz apparently....in the 60's....a tailgate that opened both ways was... magic....:slap:

...the drugs in the 60's were much better:biglaugh:

    congrats on the progress:thumbs2:

My last tailgate was a 1975 Chrysler T&C Brougham. What a slick piece of work they were! This Fairmont has a hatch-type. Very easy but no open window. Yet!

Good for you with that gate. Sounds like you need a 3 bedroom garage!

Rev and Norman...THANKS!!:tiphat: I didn't know Ford called it the "magic gate", but I'll tell ya, I've never seen one that opened both ways, and it IS pretty amazing! My husband and I were both like, WHOA! :49: ... :dancing:

Y'all have a super day!
