i watched....albeit teary-eyed, the final deadliest catch with captian phil tonite...(i know it was on tuesday but i had to DVR it). it was really heart breaking for me . i have watched the show from day one. back when it was a special called "deadliest season" and all the Captians are great guys but Phil was my favorite. (with the Hansen and Hillstrand brothers a close 2nd) it hurt to see phil go. maybe more because i lost my dad just before Phil died and Phil reminded me of my own father. i dunno, it just bums me out. his boys are selling his bike on ebay. and it has about the most awesome airbrushing on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tita...67a5dQQitemZ280534350429QQptZUSQ5fmotorcycles sail on Capt. Phil....
We're into the show too here st 'Krash's house'. Sort of melancholy watching that last episode knowing the outcome. I'm glad to hear that the boys have been provided for...I was kinda wondering about that knowing all the money Capt. Phil has thrown at the Cordelia Marie in recent years. (and we're not talkin' a $2,000 engine rebuild - more like $60k) For those who have never seen the show, try to check it out when you've got a chance. It's probably the best 'reality' show on TV. I haven't got into all the 'fan' sites n the show - only know what I see on the show.
I watched it quite a bit the first season. Then it went from the tournament style fishing to what it is now and it lost some of its appeal. I have been watching this season a bit more. Always freaks me out on the intro when they show the close up of Capt. Phil's eye.
I love this series as well, just saw his one son and Capt. Hillstrand on Jay Leno the other night, was cool to see them there. I did not realize that Phil had passed until that night, I am behind on my DVR. I was sad to hear that he did not pull through this time. He was a cool guy.
