Hello all! Im glad to be a part of the station wagon community! I just bought my first wagon. Its a 1967 Ford Country Squire with a 390. Its fully loaded from the factory including disc brakes and factory AC. All the electric windows work except for the front passenger (even the back power window works!!) Power electric seat with am radio, and 8 track. Im excited to start working on it soon. The car hadnt been started in 8 years. A little gas in the tank, and a shot in the carb and it fired right up after about 3 seconds. Any advice, Im open to it all.

Hey pipedreams, welcome! Love your Country Squire! Was it by any chance originally a 428? Are the front power windows controlled on a center under-dash console that includes power door locks and extra warning lights? If so, I think I used to own it. It was the most optioned-up CS I have ever seen, and I was a total idiot for selling it! If so, I'm so glad it is in good hands! David : )

Welcome PD; you've got a great long roof there. David, that'd be amazing if that's your old one. Can't wait to find out if it is. How long ago did you own it? I know wheel covers can be very transient, but you'll note this one has the correct ones on the left side and aftermarket wires on the right. Is that the way your's was?

I'm not positive if it was originally a 428. I will run the vin code this weekend. I'm going to be cleaning it up more, and will post more pictures!

To everyone posting, thanks for all the replies! I'm going to love this community

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the '67 have a fender badge if it had the 390 or the 428? It wouldn't have one if it came with the 289, but I seem to remember it would if it had one of the larger optional motors.

Yes snooter I believe you are right. This car has been wrecked in the front end. The two front fenders and hood are replacements.

Here's one with the emblem I was talking about:
See it on the side of the front fender?
