New guy 1964 Comet 404 Wagon (updated with pics)

Being a Ford guy I was looking for some type of Falcon wagon to restore for my wife, I found this super clean Comet wagon born and raised in California, factory equipped with a 289 4 BBL , an automatic and power steering, so here we go!!!

Good to be here and hope to meet other Comet Wagon guys!

Why don't we just call him Ryan [IMG] ?
I like it when people on a board are there on a first name base, makes it more personal (y) !!

    So, Ryan:

I don't like first names on the forum. If you are new at all and a guy posts something with his forum handle, and then, someone answers with a first name...it is confusing as to who the one answering is referring to.

Put first names in signatures, "problem" solved :dancing: !

And you're also doing it in your posts:

Introduction of a new board member with the board name "tellyv"

    You welcome him with:

So....you suggest that a newbie should search back through sigs to find out who is being referred to? Incidentally, I don't have a sig.
There have been numerous times that confusion arose because of name switching in the middle of posts that were long on info. But, I think you should do as you wish, Erik...I'm sure not telling you or others what to do. I will stick with the forum name.

Thinkin bout springtime yellow and changin tihe inside to black, or maybe leave the red and put some type of Fauxtina paint job on it.

Rebuilding 289 to hopefully 300 hp and adding Powerbrakes.

Gonna sit her on the ground and add a mean exhaust, will keep you posted.

    Welcome Blacksnake Oak Ryan

Hi Ryan I am fairly new guy too. I have a 63 Fairlane Squire 260ci(just starting to restore) close to the Comet but not much help. Your car looks in Great shape not much rust? My vote would to be keep original especially the interior
Welcome and good luck. David(Texas expat Aussie) front_view.jpg

    Thanks

I dig the Fairlane wagon, my sons everyday driver is a 62 Fairlane with a 289, 3 on the tree and OD. We also have a 65 mustang fastback we restored together. We bought the fairlane in Wyoming and drove it back to So Cal. It was pretty much done, we put a dual master cylinder and disc brakes. Thanks for the welcome Ryan
