It will be interesting to see what the bidding goes to on that 66. My buddy in Massachusettes plans to pick up my 67 wagon tomorrow.

Interesting because his pictures seem to focus more on the custom painted graphics and the hula girl on the dash than the actual condition of the car.

This evening my buddy in Massachusettes picked up the wagon from the seller. The car hasn't been on the road in a year, and though it started right up. He had to add trans fluid to drive it onto the trailer. Not really surprising for a car thats been sitting. He says he has no doubt that the 52,000 miles is correct and its not 152,000 miles. I think he's trying to convince me to keep the 318 under the hood rather than my future plans for a 5.7 Hemi. Maybe I will keep the 318 for a while (it certainly has alot of life left at only 52,000 miles). I'm looking forward to getting this longroof Plymouth home to see it myself. Still don't know when that will be.
I hate looking out in the driveway and seeing the 02 Passatt wagon where a vintage Mopar wagon should be. The 2002 VW Passatt already has 71,000 miles on it. It looks nice for what it is, but the VW was pretty much built as a disposable car. I wouldn't want to have to rely on it beyond 80,000 miles. I was hoping to have a 5.7 in the Belvedere and a 66 Charger 4 bucket seat interior installed so the Belvedere would be ready for daily use before the VW hits 80,000 miles.
Can't wait for the day I can say good-bye to the VW, but I'll probably have to keep it a couple more years anyway.

Congrats on the Blevedere wagon!! It looks sweet. I would love a new 5.7 Hemi in my '69, but I fear the coversion is far beyond my abilities. Good luck with it!
