wow! I just stumbled onto this site as I was hunting for a wagon! Haven't found one yet, but if anyone knows of a good deal on something in Ontario from the 70's, i'd be sooooo grateful

Don't get tooo pickey considering your from the salt/rust zone of Canada....but then again hold out for what you want. But remember, a good older 70's wagon in decent shape won't be cheap.

Come West, young man, come West. How's my old stompin' grounds? Used to live on Simcoe Street, and my grandparents on Ritson Road. Went to OCCI and then Durham and U of T.

You'll find better preserved cars from the 1970's out here. We didn't start using roadsalt until the mid-1960s and roadsalt doesn't work in -30C!, so its only for the warmer (above -15C) winter days. North Dakota has great cars too, from that period.

You get to see some fine country, and frustrate yourself with which one to buy! :Welcome:

yeah, I'm begining to think that my hopes lie in a southern or western car...my last wagon ('83 Country Squire, in my display pic, came from Cali, I just got really lucky with that one, the guy who brought it up had a wife that was not a friend of wagons and made him get rid of it >.< I got it for next to nothing and it was in great shape! should not have sold it. Right now, I have really mint '92 Crown Vic and I'm hoping to sell that to fund my wagon adventure. It's on Oshawa, Ontario Kijiji if anyones interested in seeing it. Best one there, can't miss it LOL

After reading this in today's Toronto Star, I wouldn't buy a car in Ontario again, either!:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Although Gurnek Singh (in Norm's article) is stupidly blatant about his tactics...this is not an unusual business. People are driving doctored cars all over the country without knowing it.

Isn't that one amazing case? The judge had the gloves off and the guy still laughed at him!

Yes...it IS amazing. This guy apparently knows the law from his past experiences. He seems to have no fear. Just shoots the judge the bird and goes right on screwing people. I have a feeling that the end is near for him, though.
