I've owned a 1993 Caprice Wagon since 2007, and joined this forum but never posted. But yesterday I upgraded to a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Collector's Edition, and i figured I should finally introduce myself since wagons seem to be becoming a way of life.
Now I've gotta sell the Caprice. While the wife (surprisingly) encouraged me to buy the Roadmaster, she doesn't want two of these monstrosities hanging around the place. And I seriously doubt I could get both of them in the garage at the same time. It's a squeeze for me to get in next to her Jetta!
Awww.....you gotta try it, just once. Move all the hoes and shovels outta the way, and give it a try! Then, take a photo for posterity.
Stall for as long as you can. Procrastinate. Filibuster, dilly-dally, equivocate... If you do this long enough things will work out and you'll just get used to dealing with two wagons.
Welcome Frosti. Nice dilemma to have. Tedy, at least he's got a garage. We have to work between the raindrops!
An embarrassment of riches, I guess. I'll have to squeeze the two in there before they're gone, just for the photo op.
"frosti": You've got that right: From a Chebby to the Rolls-Royce among the station wagons really is a big upgrade !!! I combined a few scans of model year 1996 Roadmaster information into 1 image:
Erik, Thanks for the scans, that is really great info! Can I ask what the source of this material was?
The scans are from the Standard Catalog of Buick 3rd edition, 1903 - 2004 Click here Did you notice that it says V-6 behind the model info.... ?
I did notice the 6 cylinder designation. I wondered about that, since I didn't think that even the base model came with a 6. Typo, perhaps? And I'm really surprised to see that less than 9,000 were made!
