Okay folks, I know it's stretching things a little to call this an overgrown station wagon, but it's only 8" longer than a Suburban. It's the smallest conventional school bus ever built and, according to Thomas Bus, this is the only one of the original 600 left on the road. It was also built the last year the company used the name "Perley A. Thomas Car Works" which is the same company that built the original New Orleans street cars. And it's still small enough to be used as a grocery getter!
That is cool, I'll get my hockey helmit and head strap for my glasses and you can take me for a ride on the "small school bus"
The guy behind me has one of those painted orange with brown stripes, takes it and his fellow sports enthusiasts to some sort of "football contest" on Sundays in the fall? The group they watch is called the Cleveland "Browns"? I seem to remember them and a native American baseball team from years ago, but my body now rejects all Cleveland sports for it's own mental health. Le who?
Is it a '70 or '71 with the Dodge chassis? It would be neat to find another one still out there on the road. I located several in derelict condition that I think have since been scrapped.
Nope, it has a 360, but it's been squared, bored .30 over, balanced, blueprinted and polished and has a mild cam in it.
There was a 61? Dodge short bus on a lot in Topeka for a long time only it was a 4X4 and had power wagon emblems on the hood!
I could like something like that! I am a member of the Over The Hill Gang - Phoenix - No, I am retired, not over the hill! and our club colors are Yellow - I could see something like that with a 6.1 Hemi and a yellow paint job... great for shop tours!
