Well I am about 95% sure this is the same 1990 Buick wagon that was on ebay about a year ago. Silverfox should remember. Some guy listed it on ebay about a year ago, and it was rusty. The wheel well lips and rear quarters were pretty rusted out, and the bottoms of the doors were covered with black paint to cover up the rust. It did not sell for his high reserve. A couple of weeks later, the same wagon was listed on ebay again, and all of the rust was suddenly gone. It was apparent that the rust was just all covered up. It ended up selling the second time. Well the new owner must not be too pleased with it because not even one year later, it is now for sale again. If you look really close, you can kind of see some rust popping back thru under the doors again. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...d67QQitemZ200435400039QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
If I'm thinking of the same rusty Electra Estate, I don't think this is the same one (could be wrong, though). For one thing, that rusty Buick was somewhere back east (Ohio?), or possibly the midwest. This one's in the West Los Angeles area. I've seen some wagons on E-bay before with the same houses in the background, so it's probably the same sellers. I may have seen this one before, but I don't think so. His BIN is ridiculously high for the shape it's in. But overall, the only really bad part of is the woodgrain. This one really needs a close look-see before commiting the big bucks, though.
I believe it is the same one, the patchwork woodgrain is over the wheel wells and up to the side trim the same as the other one. See hoe well his spray bomb can job held up on the lower doors when they are opened? Its a classic, a classic POS!
I saw that the other day, Pari. I believe it is the same wagon. It started in OH and was eventually sold after several eBay attempts. It now is for sale again. I could be wrong but it has the same dents in the same places and the shelf paper woody patches are in the same places.
The title will and the history of the Carfax would too if it has the history. Some cars have nothing recorded for Carfax to find.
This doesn't make sense - buy a crusty, rusty old wagon in the midwest, spend time and money to get it to LA, then try to sell it against vehicles that are in much better condition on the average........ I'm still not convinced it's the same vehicle. It might be a coincidence that it looks similar.
I agree Blackfoot, its the same exact one. It's the wood grain patch work thats the dead give away. If this wagon only had a mouth, what stories could it tell......
Krash may have a point. There WAS a wagon just like this one for sale in CA long ago that did have some shelf paper patches on it.
Again? Really? IT'S BACK! This time it is sporting a new set of rims. This has got to be the fourth or fifth time this has been on ebay. The rust is starting to resurface again underneath the shoddy bodywork. The spray paint is starting to peel away underneath the doors and the shelf paper is starting to peel off on the wheel wells and lower half of the body. It wont be long until the bondo starts to fall off of the rear quarters. This wagon just keeps getting passed off to the next unsuspecting customer. If the trend continues, we will see it up for sale in less than a year again. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=I&otn=2&category=6144
Man, talk about trying to make a silk purse out of sow's ear....... "I have an excellent reputation..." Says who? "...nearly mint condition.." Well, you could also describe it as 'Nearly trashed' "By the way, the 18" and 20" wheels don't come with the car unless the buyer adds an additional $1,000 to the end purchase price after the auction." Sucks you in with some spiffy wheels that arn't included...shady. This ad is all puffed up. The pictures mimimize the troubles the vehicle has. This is on the verge of outright misrepresentation. He's asking $6,000 for a (maybe) $2,500 car by showing it with fancy wheels. Will anybody take the bait?
that looks like the same car to me. seems like he had it advertised once with 32,000 orginal miles. but there is too much wear on the drivers carpet for 32,000 miles. and that woodgrain patch at the bottom and over the fenders gives her away. poor thing. Someone could probably make a nice wagon, if he would just sell it for a fair price. instead of advertising it from all over the country and hanging onto trying to dupe someone
