One of the Pontiac guys compiled this collection of literature and photos of Pontiac Safaris. Pontiac really made some beautiful wagons through the years. BTW, that's my '69 Bonnie pictured on page 3. http://www.pontiacsonline.com/SAFARI.htm
Thats funny i always thought I couldn't take pictures any good but apparently I take them good enough for the guy to use in his article I took the picture of the 59 in front of canadian tire
That was great, thanx for posting it Congrats to all the members who have there wagons in there:2_thumbs_up_-_anima We have all talked about our "dream" wagon, this one was posted here a long time ago. It even had factory ski racks. Every time I think of my real dream wagon this one is the one if I could choose, I just love it.... 68 Tempest Saffari
Fun article. Kinda weird to see a pic of ones own car show up, kind of neat that someone other than me (and my late mom) would think my old car looks okay enough to post somewhere. The pic of the car reflected in the water was taken in about 1983 and the one with the Airstream out back was taken in 2009.
Be sure to look me up if you're ever interested in passing her on....... BTW, there's somebody else on the east coast with a nice Bonneville wagon, either a '67 or '68, al black, loaded, 428. It was featured in a Hemmings write-up a few years ago. Do you know the wagon of which I speak?
In the late sixties you could get a 427 as well. I am guilty of parting one of those out for the power train. Who had any idea how rare they were .
Oh yes! That's one of the sweetest wagons I have EVER seen! The best part: it drives around here in The Netherlands! The owner is a very nice guy and this car is really immaculate. The finish is real nice, the color combination is real sweet... One should really see it IRL to see how beautiful it really is. Cool to see and I agree that Pontiac made some sweet wagons
That's Peter's wagon, he lives in the The Hague area of the Netherlands, just up the road from where I am. I will ask Peter if he wants to join the forum A few photos I took over the years: < Click thumbnails
