Hello From new member in Alaska Hello, I just stumbled on to this forum. I think this is a place that I will enjoy since I am a Wagon Fan. I live in Fairbanks Alaska and Married with 3 young boys. I am a contractor on the Alaskan oil fields. I got into Wagons about 7 years ago when I seen a Buick wagon that was on another forum. I thought it was soo cool to see a Hot Rod wagon. I tried to buy the wagon but had already been sold. So I decided to build my own. I found a 70 sport wagon with all the GS cosmetics. I then built a 455 Aluminum headed Stage 2 motor. The motor Dynoed at close to 600 horse and Huge torque. The car has been about the most fun that anyone should be allowed to have on the streets. Commonly punish Z06 Vettes, Mustangs, Cobras, Imports, you name it. I have a best 1/4 mile time of 11.80 @ 113mph thru the mufflers and on plain jane 245/60 cobra cooper street tires. The car is full weight 4450 pound and appears 100% stock. I look forwad to being a member on this forum. Dennis
Hey Dennis, can you have a chat with the Northwest wind gods and tell them to slow down a bit. We had 2 days over 80, with most of them full of rain. That wind cools down the Santa Anna and Colorado winds and we get soaked. No bikinis, no short-shorts, just gray, wet and too much grass cutting. Heck of beast, that car of yours. You get a discount on frequent gas purchases?
new member I think I like this site too . Never could buy what I really wanted . I'm in Florida so we must be really far away . My favorite is a 57 blue and white Plymouth . Later.
