Harrah's Auto Museum, Reno Nevada (Since reduced greatly in size. I believe name has changed as well, to something other than "Harrah's")

Theres the LeMay museum in Tacoma,WA I haven't made it there yet even though it's in my own backyard. But I've heard good things. I've also been to the Peterson museum and that place is really great. They have continually changing displays so it's different every time you go.
Also there's the blackhawk museum in northern California is exquisite they deal in rare and high end cars

    The Peterson Museum in L.A.
The Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Michigan
The Henry Ford Museum in Michigan
The Smithsonian American History Museum in Washington DC also had a halfway decent car display, but I haven't been since it reopened after renovations.

I forgot about the no flash photos, but what I liked was how someone donated the GM locomotive and they built the museum around it

If you get a chance, and are in the Denver area, you should check out the Shelby Museum in Boulder. It has some goofy hours, but is packed full of some sweeet Shelby's.

I've only been to 2, the first time was some where in the States when I was around 10 (1970s) and I have no idea where. It was a huge building in a farming area way off the beaten path, eazy 100 cars inside, non restored but all great shape survivors. My Dad could'nt get me out. The second was rite here where I live, it even had JFK's Limo but sadly over 15 years ago all the cars went and the building destroyed for....a hotel:mad:

Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda Florida. Guy bought an old WalMart and put 1/2 of his car collection in there. Rotates the cars in and out. About 200 plus muscle cars, almost all GM.

Collier Car Museum Naples Florida. Exotics, race cars and lots of Porsches.

Another wonderful museum is the William E. Swigart, Jr. Auto Museum near Huntingdon, PA. It's an outstanding facility with a lot of rare cares. Their web site is: http://www.swigartmuseum.com/
