Hi all. New here, but not to wagons. I'm sorry if this is not the correct place to post this thread. I am restoring my 73 impala wagon this summer and started the tear down a couple of weeks ago. I knew it was going to be hard to find parts and I have started the hunt for those as well. I am in need of weatherstripping specific to the clam shell wagons and was wondering if anyone knew where to get it. My car came from southern Texas and is very solid, but the sun cooked all the weather stripping back to dust. I have found W.S. for the four side doors, but can not find anything for the back gate. There are about nine or ten pieces that surround the very back window and tailgate and I'm in need of all of these. Any help would appreciated. Thanks
Welcome TURBOFIRE! Glad you joined up here! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima I sure wish there was reproduction weatherstripping for our clamshell wagons, but alas, nothing. Search "clamshell" on here and you will find lots of info and fun threads. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima David
Yeah, thanks. What I need to do is get a rusted out POS from up here and take all the weatherstripping off of it.
Ask a guy who is entering one in a demo derby i'm sure he'll give you what ever you want out of the car before he tosses it all
