If someone gave me a blank check and forced me to buy a 2010 Model it would be a White Lincoln MK T with black leather. Ecoboost and all.

Ive always been a GM man even though my grandparents all drove Lincolns for years. GM's interiors were so much nicer than fords and the cars were much easier to work on. But now that the 'G' in GM has changed I would buy a Ford if I had the money or desire for a new car. Keep in mind id still keep my old GMs because they were pre-government models. Been reading about and looking at the new Fords lately and boy am I impressed in so many ways. Their marketing strategy is great, they are producing beaufitul designs, high quality interiors and all.

PS that 2010 mock up needs a more square rear cargo area. and it would be perfect... Better yet, Mercury needs to Market the Ford Flex, Mercury Colony Park and Lincoln MKt. somone should photo shop a Mercury Woody version of the Flex. Mercury Grill, 80's fender fins and all

I would go with the ubiquitous silver! This is what you would see from my fantasy 2010 garage! Oh, the fantasy deal was only for one? Drats!

Really don't like much produced today. I guess I am just old school.

I'm not a Mopar nut (ask foxflyer40), but I have to say that this would look pretty dandy in my driveway...

...assuming they made one (OK, I guess I cheated about the 2010 thing... always trying to buck the rules - thats me).

The only new car I am interested in is the new Challenger R/T. The only thing stopping me from owning one is the price. Dodge missed the mark by pricing it above the Mustang. Bang for the buck, you can't beat the Mustang. I am not too fond of the 2010 Mustang body changes so I am real glad I bought a 2007 new about 3 years ago. Did some cosmetic mods to it to get it where I wanted and still haven't come close to the price of a Challenger R/T.

to revive this slightly old thread now that I've joined the site... I think that if my Legacy was somehow taken away, I think the most likely new-car candidate would be a Ford Flex Limited with Ecoboost. It would be HARD for me to give up the manual transmission, but really the only manual option at the moment is a BMW 3-series which is a bit smaller than my Legacy. The lovely CTS Sportwagon is auto-only (even though the sedan can be had with a manual.) Ditto for the A4 Avant. It's possible that the upcoming TSX wagon will be available with a stick, but I wouldn't bet a mortgage payment on it.

The Flex seems to be the spiritual successor to the full-sized wagons of yore.

I wonder if the CTS sedan manual would swap into the Sportwagon?
