im looking for an air intake for my 95 caprice wagon. i cannot find one to save my life. i just dont see the need for a hose to the filter box with a hose to an air box with a hose to another airbox and then finally into the intake itself. im just lookin for an air intake like a cone filter straight throught a MAF sensor and into the intake. anyone know where i can find a kit like that? i tried jegs, summit, everywhere and cannot find one.:banghead3: any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

You ought to look at a regular or Turbo'd Ford 2.3L carb air filter setup. Really slick. It gets the air from the LH side of the rad. Stock filters abound! Looks long enough to reach your setup.

I saw a nice low-profile air intake at the junkyards in a FWD Honda sedan, about 3 feet long to the outside air. Pipe was about 2.5 inch diameter, and no Honda logo! You can snoop in the Honda sites maybe. Looked like a 2000 and up model.

If you are looking for "cold air" you won't find it under the hood where most of these kits will locate your air intake. I'd check on ImpalaSS forums to get a good airbox modification that frees up restriction.
If all you are after is woo-woo when you open the throttle get a cone filter that sucks hot air from under the hood and assaults your hot film AFM with oil mist.
