Just a quick hello to everyone. My wagon is a 53 Plymouth Surburban. I have owned it since 1977. I started a partial restoration on it back in the mid 1980s but never completed it and then pretty much just let it sit for many years. I recently became interested in driving it again so I'm in the process of getting it roadworthy again. Started it up and the first thing I noticed was the front brakes locking up. Got to attend to that and get some tires and it will be back on the road. Other than the brakes mechanically it's still as sound as it was when I parked it. Well, that's about all for now.
77 WOW, thats even longer than I've owned one car(1982 for me) Thats a nice wagon, awesome:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Welcome to the forum. Keep us informed of your progress. Woul;d love to see your wagon. We love pics here.
Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. This seems like a nice place for wagon owners. Ford Nut: I'm in Mountain View, about halfway between SF and San Jose. The Stickman: I've got pictures posted in photos section under Plymouth.
WO JOJO How far are yeah from Newark? I've got a Car-Bud there that picked up a '54 like yours last fall somewhere 'tween there and Rino Like the rest of us storage iz becoming an issue
O.K. WO_JO. START MAKING CAR SHOWS IN THAT AREA IN CASE YOU ALREADY DON'T, Especially Mopar Shows. You'll cross paths with Larry Jett. Mainly a 300 Letter Car Guy and Good Folks. He's hosting a 300 fall Meet at Carmel + Monteray in Sept. of 2011, BIG 4 day My Bride and I will fly in for that one. 8 MPG fer 5000 miles still sucks!
Well if you get tired of the south bay come on up to our little town and try one of our awesome Italian restaurants and great pubs. Best Rick
Hi Rick- Ahh yes, Occidental - I used to go up there (and Bodega Bay) quite often when I was in college for photoshoots . You're correct, the Italian restaurants are just awesome. I still remember one summer day I was up there with a friend and we ate so much we had to go take a nap in a field. Suddenly I woke up to the sound of my friend screaming. A cow was licking her face. *** My memories of Occidental ***
