to the wagon train, sy. Nice Datsun wagon. Wow...I think you may be the first member all the way from El Salvador! Glad to have you.
Welcome Syoux! You might try some Mexican car sites for parts? Podrias intentar con los sitios Mexicanas por lo que te falta, si? In Mexico, Datsun was a really popular brand, and changed names a few times to Nissan and then Tsuru. My wife had a nice Tsuru in Monterrey, MX, and it took me a few weeks to figure out that it was a Datsun/Nissan car. Try this, with a search term like: "refacciones usados Datsun" or whatever parts that you need. http://www.google.com.mx/ You could also try this: http://www.bing.com/?cc=mx And this lets you find car-related information by country: http://www.automotive-links.com/ind/ind.htm
syoux, welcome. There are a few other Datsun owners here. You might search for a Datsun site on the www and with all those people you my find any parts you need. The 1.6 engine was very common here in the 1970s. I like your Datsun. It looks like there is no rust in the pictures. That is good.
LOL...duh on me. I was thinking Califorinia at second look. I also was thinking South America rather than Central America. I guess my original post was correct! I had many friends from El Salvador when I lived in California. Thanks for clearing that up for me, syoux!
Syoux, You car looks just like the 510 model sold here in the US. I am not sure if any company is making new floors so you will have to get good with a welder to replace them. Here's a few sites that I have found and there are many more: http://www.datsunlandsocal.com/ http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-510-parts.html http://www.datsport.com/Misc_body_parts.html
Welcome Syoux. Wow, we really are becoming international here. Looks like your Datsun is going to be a fun project for you. Good luck.
Here's a good Mexican site to find parts. http://soloautos.com.mx/index/index.php This is a Classic Auto site in Mexico: http://www.autoclasico.com.mx/site/default.aspx?p=37&fcte=11 And this is kind of like the North American KIJIJI advertisement network. http://www.adoos.com.mx/
