Don't get a 300 for MPGs, because you'll be dissapointed. My '93 F150 2wd 300/5spd w/3.08s gets ALMOST 20 on the highway. Usually it gets 15-18 around here. 300s are tough as nails, but a 302 is actually better on gas than the 6.

actually the Merc payment ended up being cheaper than the focus and the focus didnt have much negative equity anyway due to people getting smaller cars due to high gas prices...the resale value of small cars has gone up.
not to mention we didnt get the D plan discount for the focus so the Merc was actually cheaper!

rick, the truck im getting is 1500 so when i sell the caprice ill recover the money. so all this should cost me out of pocket ....for this whole thing is just the title and plate for my truck!

another little note: little known fact.... for those of you who have brand new cars. most new cars come with a scheduled maintenence guide (all fords do). if you get your car serviced at a dealer and have them do the services in the book. the service advisor will fill-out and stamp the book. ...this has a significant impact on your resale value.

thanks... now its just the headache of getting the damn truck to run right!

i have a C/E light and the truck is idleing a little rough. just replaced the IAC motor. and it helped a little. but the light is still on. by the looks of it, it has recently had plugs, wires and cap.

also the headache of selling the shipwreck. $1,500 any takers? i have over $2,000 in her.
