i have a question hopefully someone will be able to tell me what is going on. I have a 91 custom cruiser with a 93 lt1 out of a z28. every once in a while it will idle irregularly. it idles at 900 rpm and then it may jump up to 1500 for a couple of seconds the go back down to 900. this only occurs every once in a while, kind of wierd.

    thanks ,

Does this have an IAC valve? if so it may need cleaning.

X2. The IAC valve will get carbon deposits over time and not function properly. It can be cleaned. It may also need to be replaced.
