I just stopped by to say hello and tell you of my own Wagon, It is a 1983 LTD wagon w/331/auto w/brake, 3.90 gears, frame connectors, weld draglites,15x4/15x8 mt radials (275/60/15) car had 393 in it last yr w/13-1 comp, now going to 331- 10.5-1 -pump gas motor for more street driving, best run was 11.68@114MPH W/soft 2700 launch, now has capable 4500 stall. I may also spray it w/100 shot at later date.
whoa, serious firepower going through that fox. So about those subframe connectors, I sure would like a pair in my '78. Custom welding and all that, I suppose?
connectors Yes i first bought this car for my son, he had a fairmont wagon afew yrs ago w/built 5.0/auto and thought this would be a good builder, he thought not, It only has 109,00 on it and am the third owner. I was tired of all the Fox stangs getting all the power so I decided to let them give chase (and they do), I am the only wagon at my local track (Tulsaraceway.com) luggage rack and all. the frame connectors were easy an just required some mig welding and alittle bending, but nothing that anyone else couldn't do. I will get some pics up as soon as our new snow leaves us. I really love the wagon and hope to put it in the 10's by summer, and still drive it around.....
My kinda wagon...gotta love those sleepers! Sounds great, 1qk....to the wagon train. Got the comp down but kinda hard driving on the street with that 4500 stall, no?
Im liking the sounds of all this mid 10's ???....that'l be impressive!!!! lets see this beasty to the board
Neat handle! Nothing like a Fox wagon for powertrain perks. I found a couple Fairmont Youtube flicks where they're getting low 14's with the Turbo I4 engines, but the V8's do dance much better. Glad you're here!
I saw the FordSix thread on adapting a Turbo to the 200 inline. Wow! Hard to believe the power you can get out of one of these die-hard sixes!
the car is on youtube under "OUR GANG RACING" (tom mullen) its a ride along when we first put it together it'll give you an idea tho. I will post pics as soon as I get time/good weather. thanks for having me here.
